Edel Custom Putter Fitting Comes To East Tennessee!!
A golfer can save more strokes with his/her putter than with any other club in the bag. Edel Golf Certified Putter Fitters provide a customized putter fitting previously available only to Touring Professionals. This is done using a 3-Step Fitting Process that includes:
- Assessing the golfer's putting aim, and finding a putter configuration that the golfer can aim correctly;
- Finding the right total putter fit – using a unique system of more than 270 million combinations of putter heads, hosels, lie angles, lofts, lengths, and putter weighting so that the player can aim the putter correctly and get the right feel for distance control; and
- Hand milling the putter to the exact specifications identified in the putter fitting.
Bobby Dean, the Director of Sales and Product Development for Edel Golf, trained Tony Wright, the owner of Game Improvement Golf, on the use of the Edel Custom Putter Fitting System on March 5-6, 2012. Bobby trained Tony on the use of all of the elements of the fitting system, fitted Tony for his own Edel putter, and assisted Tony in performing putter fittings for four golfers on March 6. Tony – I received my new Edel putter last week. I quickly put it to the test. I was playing in interclub matches the next two days. The putter felt good and the time we spent on aiming sure proved to be important. I was hitting my line almost every time. I did not have a threee putt over those two days. I was getting all of my putts around the hole.
The time that we spent on the fitting process is well worth it. I now have the confidence that my putts will go where I am aiming. The weight of my new Edel putter is perfect. It allows me to roll good putts time and time again.
I played just the other day and shot 81. Made two birdies from over 15 feet it was quite a nice. Looking forward to many fine putting days.

A little putting report. Played at Lambert Acres today. Edel putter really shined and paid for it self today. Dropped 4 20 footers. Had a real nasty 40 footer on #6 on the Orange course. Steeply down hill. Ball stopped 9" to the right of the hole. Dropped numerous 10 footers to save par or salvage bogey from double bogey status.. Greens were fast. I loved it.

Tony wanted to let you know I received my putter yesterday. Had three weeks to consider the purchase and must admit I was a little skeptical. That was till I pulled that baby out of the box. Better yet, I proceeded to the putting green at my local course only to find the Pro there practicing. Needless to say a Putting Match was on. Wish we had been playing for more than Pride. "It putts great on my practice green in the basement. I've now had 3 rounds in on decent greens. The ball goes where it's suppose to go. Except for some speed and bounce issues (aeration holes ) I have made everything inside 8 feet and 2 over 20 feet. It feels great. Thanks for your help."
